Inner Development

for Outer Change

Developing the inner capacities to lead
meaningful change in a complex world

WHY INNER DEVELOPMENT?

The challenges we face are not only technical.

We have more knowledge, technology and tools than ever before. Yet many of the most difficult challenges inside organizations are profoundly human.

How do we stay present under pressure?

How do we see the wider system?

How do we stay open when our assumptions are challenged?

How do we build trust across differences?

How do we find the courage to act when there is no obvious answer?

The Inner Development Goals (IDGs) emerged from a simple but powerful realization:

Outer transformation requires inner development.

The IDGs are a global, non-profit initiative developing the human capacities needed to address the complexity of our time and contribute to a more sustainable, flourishing future.

THE IDG FRAMEWORK

A map for human development

The Inner Development Guide identifies 25 skills and qualities across five interconnected dimensions.

Being present, intentional and less reactive when facing complexity

Seeing different perspectives, making sense of complexity and making wiser decisions

Developing appreciation, empathy, humility and a sense of connection to the wider whole

Building trust, communicating across differences and mobilizing people around shared concerns

Finding the courage, creativity, optimism and perseverance to turn intention into meaningful action

I use the IDG framework not as a checklist of leadership competencies, but as a map — helping teams recognize what may be holding them back and what needs to develop for the organization to move forward.

IDG IN ISRAEL

Bringing a global movement into the Israeli leadership context

I discovered the Inner Development Goals while searching for a deeper language for the work I was already doing with leaders and teams.

The framework gave words and structure to something I had experienced repeatedly: meaningful organizational transformation rarely begins with another process, structure or tool.

It begins with our capacity to see differently, listen differently, relate differently — and ultimately, act differently.

I became an IDG Ambassador and founded the Israeli IDG Hub, connecting the growing global movement with the unique realities of leadership and organizational life in Israel.

Since then, I have brought the IDGs into my work with leadership teams in Israel and internationally — using them not as a theoretical framework, but as a practical lens for addressing real organizational challenges.

Today, as leaders navigate extraordinary levels of uncertainty, technological disruption and societal complexity, this work feels more relevant than ever.

Inner development is not a “soft” leadership agenda.

It is a business capability.
